Hamburger Kultur International
Building international bridges.
Under the title "Hamburger Kultur International," the Move the North Festival, hosted by ManusArts, in cooperation with The English Theatre of Hamburg, present a cultural program consisting of 31 events and 45 performing artists, including concerts, readings, plays, music shows, poetry, and dance. Until August 1st, individual events are scheduled daily: The Benny Brown Band will present their debut CD "Brown" on July 22nd at 7:30 pm and on July 25th at 6:30 pm, as well as new compositions and selected standards. The guitarist, composer, and arranger Patrick Pagel will perform twice on July 24th: at 6 pm with singer-songwriter Lilian Gold and at 7:30 pm with singer-songwriter Eniola Falase. On July 26th and 27th at 9 pm, guitarist Peter Musebrink (Deep Dive Corp.) from Bremen, DJ Mads Nordheim (Mashti Project) from Copenhagen, and singer Sebastian Lilja (Hush Forever) from Malmö will bring DMH Ibiza Vibes to Hamburg with their DMH trio.
On July 28th at 7:30 pm, the renowned Swedish-South African singer duo Fjarill will take the stage. Another highlight is Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Cello, performed by Sono Tokuda and Valentin Priebus. Both are members of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra (July 27th, 4 pm; July 28th, 6 pm). The actresses Maureen Havlena and Theresa Berlage, both co-founders of the Vorlesemanufaktur, will bring Heinrich Heine's "Deutschland ein Wintermärchen" to life on July 22nd at 6 pm. The reading duo Maureen Havlena and Alexander Kruuse Mettin will give voice to three authors from Denmark and read selected works by Jonas Eika, Madame Nielsen, and Carsten Jensen on July 25th at 4 pm. Together with Silvia Varelli, Paul Glaser & Friends will bring dance and music to the outdoor stage at the Drillingsbar on July 30th, 31st, and August 1st at 3 pm.
