VODKA TALKS follows two sisters’ conversation as they sort through their late father’s estate, in their family villa on the edge of Lake Constance, in the hours after his funeral. Edda, married to Robert, has grown children. Freya lives her life as a failed artist in failing relationships. To their horror and surprise, their father has left all his money to the extremist German right-wing political party AFD. The only possession Papa does leave to his daughters is the family villa, tying them to a past they both badly wish to escape. Mother’s door has been locked for years. No one has been allowed to enter since her death when the sisters were children. Digging up the secrets of their childhood requires a shot of vodka – or two… as hidden mysteries in the house unfold.
